Immer wenn man einen freien Tag hat, passiert was. Und zwar nichts Schönes. Nein, meistens wird man entweder selbst krank oder eins der Haustiere. Und heute war mal wieder eins der Haustiere dran – unser Meerschweinböckchen. Aus dem freien Tag wurde also ein Stresstag und die nächsten Tage werden wohl nicht besser. Aber – immerhin nach dem spontanen Tierklinikbesuch hatte ich immerhin genug Nerven (und Zeit) für diese Schüttelkarte mit Fluffy Gustav. Denn was lenkt besser ab, als Fluffy Gustav in einer Schüttelkarte?

It’s like Murphy’s Law #139 – so you got a free day – and then something is happening. And it’s nothing nice at all. No, rather you are getting sick or one of your loved ones. Today our guinea pig thought – „Man, I heard you guys talking that everything is okay, you still got enough money in the bank, everyone is healthy and happy – well, let’s have some fun, suckers!“ and made us rush to the veterinary hospital. So the free day turned out pretty stressful. But I had enough time and nerves to make at least one card. And what’s a better distraction than Fluffy Gustav in a shaker card?

Auf die Windradfolie habe ich das schicke Sentiment „Caffeine Junkie“ gestempelt, das man richtig gut lesen kann, wenn die pinken und schwarzen Pailetten im Fenster vorbeihuschen. Gustav habe ich mit Wasserfarben koloriert.

I stamped the sentiment „Caffeine Junkie“ right on the window – you can totally read it when all the sparkly sequins are shaking. Gustav is coloured with water colours. So, how was your weekend? Any crafty projects you made? Enjoy the new week, see you soon!

Morbider Montag #10

Der Frühling kommt und mit ihr der soziale Zwang die Räuberhöhle mal wieder auszumisten und zu putzen. Für mich ist noch Winter, vielleicht bis Juli, mal sehen. Und überhaupt brauche ich das ganze Zeug noch und Spinnenweben unterstreichen meine Liebe zu Halloween.

Gerade fühle ich mich ein bisschen wie in einer Waschmaschine – aber das wird auch wieder besser. Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich diese Karte hier von Umchika gesehen und natürlich musste ich aus der Idee eine Karte für den Morbiden Montag machen. Aus niedlichen Stempeln böse Karten machen heitert ja immer auf – also los!

Spring is right around the corner and with spring there is the social pressure of spring-cleaning. Well, for me it’s winter ‚til July, we’ll see. And I really need that stuff tough and those spider webs are a pretty nice Halloween decoration and just tell, that I love Halloween.

Right now I feel like I’m in the washing machine – but I’m sure it will get better. A few weeks ago I saw this cute card from Umchika and I needed to turn the idea into a morbid Monday card. Turning cute stamps into mean cards is always uplifting, isn’t it?

Warum Dummheit manchmal ganz inspirierend ist

Kennt ihr die Darwin Awards? Kleiner Tipp – man bekommt sie posthum verliehen, nachdem man möglichst bescheuert ums Leben gekommen ist. Zum Beispiel, in dem man ein Selfie mit einer Giftschlange machen wollte. Oder beim Liebesakt vom Balkon fiel. Schade, Romeo, das tat bestimmt weh.

Vor einigen Tagen hat der Liebste mir von der Geschichte eines Mädchens erzählt, dass eine rosafarbene Badekugel für Seife hielt und sich (vielleicht ja wirklich) damit eingeseift hat und anschließend mehrere Tage knallpink war. Ich glaub das ja nicht so richtig, aber hey – Inspiration pur! Der kleine Hund von Stampotique lebt noch und qualifiziert sich daher nicht für den Darwin Award.

Hey crafties, do you know the Darwin Awards? No? Okay, little hint – you get them posthumous, after you died in a really, really stupid way. Like taking a selfie with a poisonous snake. Or falling of the balcony while making love. Sorry, Romeo.

A few days ago the dearest told me about this girl who was using a pink bath pearl (those huge things that bubble) as a soap. Yes, right on her skin, not in the bath water. So her skin turned pink for a few days. That stupid little story inspired me to turn Floating Dog pink. But don’t worry, the girl is fine and Floating Dog too. No Darwin Award for you, Darling.

And because it’s a lot of fun to make a little mess with some pink ink – watch Francine’s video, it’s very easy, but very cool – I made my very first Anti Valentine’s Day card for this year. Yes, I still believe it’s stupid – no, I’m not filled with bitterness. I prefer a nice and sweet creme filling. And yes – I’m the grumpy koala. I love the look on his face – like he is about to burst into anger. 

Und weil pink matschen unglaublich viel Spaß macht – schaut euch unbedingt das Video von Francine dazu an – gab es gleich die erste Anti-Valentinstagskarte dieses Jahr. Oh ja, ich habe meinen Standpunkt dazu noch nicht geändert, es ist immer noch bescheuert. Und nein – ich bin nicht verbittert. Am Valentinstag fühle ich mich immer wie der Koala. Ihr auch? Genießt seinen Gesichtsausdruck – als würde er gleich loszappeln und meckern.

Konnte ich euch täuschen? Mit all den netten Karten – Weihnachten, Glitzer, voll schön. Weit gefehlt, es wird wieder gemein, fies und finster – der morbide Montag ist zurück! Ja, ich höre euch schreien – mit süßen Stempeln zeige ich euch wieder die böse Seite des Bastelns. Zur Einstimmung (und als Homage an einen der besten Horrorfilme, erratet ihr welchen?) geht der geliebte Gnom draußen… spielen.

Es ist Zeit! Es wird wieder gruselig, grausam und vielleicht sogar blutig! Aber bevor wir loslegen – habt ihr das gesehen? My Favorite Things, deren Gnome und Bärchen ich ja unglaublich gern für den Morbiden Montag verwende, haben mich „gespotted“ – also entdeckt. Und sie mögen den Morbiden Montag! Teeheeheeheehee!

It is time! It’s time to get some fancy creepy cards again! But before we start today’s Morbid Monday, let’s share some news! My Favorite Things, the stamp company I often use for my creepy cards, spotted me! And they liked the Morbid Monday! Squeeeee!

Sorry again gnome fans, yes it’s that gnome again. But this time it’s an interactive card! You can decide how high the water’s gonna rise. That’s pure interactice card evil stuff, right? Muahahaha! Safe him? Drown him? Safe him? It’s up to you. And yes, I’m mentally okay, I’ve checked it. 

Tut mir leid ihr Gnomen-Freunde. Schon wieder. Ja, ich weiß, schon wieder der Gnom. Aber diesmal könnt ihr entscheiden, was mit ihm passiert, die heutige Karte ist nämlich interaktiv.
