Vera Lane Studio | useless trinkets

Schluss mit niedlich, es wird wieder düster. Passt ja auch zum Wetter, oder? Habt ihr sie auch? Journaling Cards. Braucht man ja, weil… ja, weil? Ist halt schick für Alben und Project Life und auf Karten kann man die ja auch benutzen… es gibt also genug Gründe, sich eine Sammlung zuzulegen, dachte ich mal, als ich sie billig erstanden habe. Aber manche davon sind mir einfach zu fröhlich. Jahaa, zu fröhlich, genau wie die, die ich auf meiner heutigen Karte verwurstelt habe. Mal ehrlich – ein Tortendiagramm? Wer braucht das im Fotoalbum? Bin ich zu uninspiriert? Das ist es, was ich daraus gemacht habe.

Cute? I think not! It’s time for another Morbid Monday! This time I went through my little journaling cards collection. I got them really cheap and thought they were great for mini albums and cards. But some of them are just not my type. Like the card I used for this card – I like the bright colours, but the pie chart?! Who needs this? Am I too uninspired? Well, I did this with the pie chart thing.

Ich habe versucht die knalligen Farben der Journaling Card aufzugreifen – ein leichter Hintergrund, Wasserfarben und der bunte Pfeil – und die Wahrheit darüber, wie der kleine Kerl seinen Tag verbracht hat, hihi. Nicht ganz morbide, aber immerhin lustig. Was denkt ihr?

I tried to catch up with the bright colours – a light background, nice watercolours, the arrow – and the truth how this little guy spend his day, hehe. Not that morbid, but funny. What do you think?

Stamps: Vera Lane Studio – „Rachael“ – Technique Tuesday „This One“ – Studio L2E – „Sucky Day Part 1“

Ich hab ein paar englische Spruchstempel – viele davon sind sehr nett und süß, aber was ich wirklich, wirklich liebe ist das „Sucky Day“ Stempelset. Das Leben ist nicht immer nett und süß, also muss manchmal auch eine Karte mit einem Spruch her, der mehr kann, als „Du bist so süß“ und mehr zuckrige Liebesbekundungen. Aber genug davon.

Ich habe mit dem kleinen Zombiemädchen gespielt, das ich vor ein paar Tagen auf Creepy Glowbuggs Blog entdeckt habe. Für die Karte habe ich ein zuckersüßes Sentiment „Du bist perfekt“ mit einem ganz wundervollen „Zur Hölle nein“ gemixt. Ich hoffe es ist der Schwesternschaft unhöflich genug und natürlich, dass es euch auch gefällt, hehe.

I have some sentiment stamps – and a lot of them are really sweet and nice, but I really, really love my „Sucky Day“ stamp sets. Life isn’t always nice and cute, right? Sometime you need a card with some true words and I think those sentiments are just perfect, if you like it that way. But enough of that, hehe. I used the little zombie girl I saw at Creepy Glowbugg’s blog a few days ago and mixed a really sweet sentiment „You are perfect“ with a wonderful „Oh hell no“ sentiment. So, do you like it?
